The youth division offers two programmes for youth aged 13 to 19. Youth with basic technical skills and foundation in their chosen art form can audition for a place in the programmes.
The Mentorship programme is a one-year programme where professional arts practitioners mentor youth. The programme aims to enhance the arts competency of the youth and to expose them to conceptualising and creating original works.
The performing youth groups are required to conceptualise and choreograph an original performance while the visual artists will have the opportunity curate their own exhibition.
Arts Incubation Programme
After the Mentorship programme, students graduate to the two-year Arts Incubation Programme. The Arts Incubation programme is a specialised arts training programme that will push youth beyond the classroom and help them gain insights into the realities of the arts industry.
The programme focuses on improving student’s skills further to a level where they can choose to become arts practitioners. The youth will also be equipped and empowered with the knowledge and expertise to be sustainable in the arts industry should they seek to pursue a career in the arts.
Besides technical skills, the youth will learn fundamentals in management which includes finance, marketing and arts management.
