Mini Monet, Foundation Arts

Yan is a Fine Arts graduate from Lasalle College of Arts. She has taught at many schools and continues to participate in arts exhibition. One of Yan’s specialisation is Mural Painting. Yan believes in encouraging her students to create their own unique art works and helps facilitate her students by improving their techniques and providing a broad perspective.

Art & Play

Nana graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts. As a practicing artist that constantly participates in arts exhibition, Nana works with different kinds of mediums. She uses this approach when teaching her students and encourages them to be creative and think out of the box when creating any art works.

Farah Ong
Farah graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts. She has been teaching theatre, literature-drama and oral communications skills in primary and secondary schools since 2007. Farah also tours and performs in schools with several theatre companies like Theatreworks, Act 3, Dramabox and D-Rama Arts. She has also acted on-screen and stage. Farah took up the main role in the film Look At Me, an independent short film directed by Yousry Mansour.

Sherilyn Tan
Sherilyn graduated with a Diploma in Theatre from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. She has been teaching theatre and drama for several years. Sherilyn also performs with several theatre companies like Act 3 International, Toy Factory and Bellepoque. Some of her theatre works are Romeo & JulietHansel & Gretel and Letter to Juliet. With experience in acting, directing and hosting, Sherilyn is also part of the pioneer batch for iTheatre’s Creative Edge.

Abdul Karim Sulaiman (Amin)
Mr Amin has been in the music industry for close to two decades. An experienced piano/keyboard and IT music instructor, musician and music director, he has worked on productions such as Singapore Heart Beat and One in Harmony in 2004. He was also a member of the rock band called Speedway between 1983 to 2003. The grandson of Mr Zubir Said, author of Singapore’s national anthem, Mr Amin has taught in several primary and secondary schools. He is a trainer with Project M Pte Ltd.

About Project M Pte Ltd
Project M Pte Ltd was formed by Ms Ernawaty Sorianto to provide quality education in keyboard and piano to children. Ms Ernawaty has been teaching with Yamaha Music School for the past 27 years in Singapore. Prior to that, she was Chief instructress in a top Music school in Indonesia, training many award-winning competition champions, travelling widely to oversee their school operations and developing curriculum for various projects and training materials. Today, Ms Ernawaty offers to other businesses her expertise in music in the form of consultation or facilitation and continues to be a sought-after music teacher and examiner for Yamaha Music School.

The Little Arts Academy partners with Guitarra Play to offer guitar programmes to the students.

Music & Play

Sharuldin graduated with a Diploma in Music Production. He has been teaching since 2009. Sharuldin has playing the guitar for 15 years and with the knowledge of other instruments, he believes that music is a lifelong learning journey.

Liang Pei
Liang Pei graduated with a Diploma in Dance from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2013. She is trained in Classical Ballet, Modern Dance, Asian Dance and Jazz. She was the lead dance instructor at the Standard Chartered Kids Camp and Ballet instructor at The Ballet and Music Company. Liang Pei is also a seasoned dance performer.

New Style, Foundation

Muhammad Ridhwan or Wan as he is popularly known, is a choreographer, performer and one of the pioneer members of Styles from Beyond, a leading professional hip hop dance crew in Singapore. He joined LAA since it opened its doors in November 2008. He has been a guest judge in several dance competitions in Malaysia and is the main instructor of a successful dance group, Happy Feet Crew from Lian Hua Primary School. In 2009, he came in third at a Suntec Dance Competition and performed in the Malaysian musical Impak Maksima at the Esplanade. Wan choreographed a fusion of Hip Hop dance and Malay dance for Saltare Beats, LAA’s youth division dance group, and won first place. He was also the choreographer for Saltare Beats’ at ChildAid Asia 2013.

New Style, Dance & Play

Rahila is a choreographer and performer, who started dancing since 2007. She has been teaching since 2009. Being versatile in Hip-Hop, Street Jazz and Jazz Funk, Rahila has worked with various dance schools and organizations. Besides participating in various dance competitions where she clinched awards, such as RE:MIX Best Female Dancer Award in 2007, Rahila also performed in the Malaysian musical Impak Maksima held at the Esplanade in 2009.

With 8 years as a professional dancer under her belt, Shazielah is an instructor, choreographer and performer. She has been teaching dance in primary and secondary schools since 2012. Shazielah is experienced in various dance genres such as Street Jazz, Hip-Hop and Cultural, which help her in choreographing dance moves. Not only has Shazielah participated in dance performances and competitions, she has also been involved in musical dramas.
